North and West Coast Wales

Driving inland we decided to look at a burial chamber called 'Pentre Ifan'. This megalithic monument was a communal burial tomb from the Neolithic Age around 3500 BC. The Cairn of rocks was once 36m long and partially covered with dirt but over time rocks have been removed. Excavations in the area have unearthed pottery and flint tools. See Album 39 for the final part of our trip through Wales.
